Free ATM machines installed Australia-wide — standard branded and discreet brown-label finishes

Cash still plays a real role in the Australian economy — RBA data confirms cash remains a significant channel for hospitality, gaming, retail and tourism. Our free-to-site ATM program fills the cash-access gap for pubs, clubs, hotels, motels, casinos, adult venues, service stations, convenience stores, shopping centres, gyms, medical centres, cafés, restaurants, function centres and any high-foot-traffic Australian venue — without adding a capital line to your budget.

We offer two finishes: a standard branded ATM for high-visibility hospitality and retail placements, and a discreet brown-labelled unit for gaming rooms, adult entertainment venues, brothels and any location where customer privacy matters. Both are the same free-to-site program: zero purchase, zero lease, zero install cost, zero maintenance charge. Denominations are configurable ($20 or $50) and qualifying sites share the surcharge revenue.

Every unit is compliant with AUSTRAC AML/CTF reporting obligations, the ATM Industry Reference Group Code of Conduct and the RBA Access Regime for the ATM System. Surcharge disclosure is on-screen before every withdrawal and printed on receipts, matching ATMIRG Code requirements. Licensed cash-in-transit partners handle loading, first-line service and reconciliation across every capital, regional centre and remote route in Australia.

FAQ

Common questions

Who qualifies for a free ATM install?+

Pubs, clubs, hotels, motels, casinos, adult venues, service stations, convenience stores, shopping centres, gyms, medical centres, cafés, restaurants, function centres and any high-foot-traffic Australian venue. Site foot traffic and cash-withdrawal potential drive suitability.

What does 'free-to-site' actually mean?+

Zero purchase cost, zero lease, zero installation charge, zero maintenance charge. Fully-managed model — we cash-load, service, reconcile and cover paper/consumables. Qualifying sites are on a surcharge revenue share.

What's the difference between standard and brown-labelled?+

A standard ATM is branded (visible network/bank marks) and suited to high-visibility hospitality and retail placements. A brown-labelled ATM is plain / venue-wrapped for privacy — recommended for gaming rooms, adult entertainment venues, strip clubs, brothels and any site where customer discretion matters. Same free program either way.

Is the ATM AUSTRAC compliant?+

Yes — every unit meets AUSTRAC AML/CTF reporting obligations, the ATM Industry Reference Group Code of Conduct and the RBA Access Regime for the ATM System. Full compliance documentation is supplied on request.

How is the customer surcharge handled?+

A clear on-screen surcharge is displayed and confirmed before any withdrawal — ATMIRG Code requirement. The rate is set with you at install, printed on the consent page and on every receipt. Qualifying sites share the surcharge revenue.

How often is the ATM cash-loaded?+

Cash-in-transit is scheduled to your site's demand and location. Metro sites typically get 2–3 loads per week; regional and remote sites are scheduled to withdrawal volume. Licensed CIT partners handle all cash movement.

Can I combine an ATM with a vending machine?+

Yes — pubs, clubs, hotels, casinos and adult venues frequently pair a cashless combo vending machine with a discreet brown-labelled ATM in the same back-of-house area. Both under one account manager.

Do you install in shopping centres and service stations?+

Yes — shopping centre common areas, food courts, service station forecourts and convenience store counters are core placements. We coordinate with centre management for lease/licence paperwork.

Who installs your machine in Australia, and exactly how it runs

Written and maintained by Dan Barnes — owner-operator, Free Vending Machines Australia

I have been placing and servicing vending equipment in Australian workplaces for over two decades — offices, warehouses, gyms, hospitals, schools, remote camps and government sites. Everything on this page reflects how we actually run installs across every state and territory: the machines we physically stock, the lead times our crews hold to, and the service standard we carry at our own cost. Nothing here is licensed boilerplate.

  • Typical Australian lead time: 7–14 days from a qualified request to a working machine.
  • $20 million public liability plus product liability — certificate of currency supplied to your facilities or WHS team on request.
  • Australian-owned, Australian-serviced. Same operator answers the phone on0401 NO COST.
  • Nayax cashless readers and live telemetry on every machine — not a retro-fitted coin mech.

What to expect, step by step

  1. 1. Two-question request

You tell us the workplace type and rough head count. No paperwork, no credit check, no sales visit required to get an answer.

  2. 2. Site check within 24 hours

We confirm head count, foot traffic, power location and access (lifts, stairs, loading dock, after-hours security) and pick the right machine.

  3. 3. Delivery and install

Our crew delivers, levels and commissions the machine, tests the cashless reader end-to-end and takes the packaging away. Nothing is invoiced.

  4. 4. Telemetry goes live

Every vend, temperature reading and fault code streams back to us. Low stock is flagged 2–3 days before a row empties.

  5. 5. Ongoing service, still $0

Restocks, cleaning, repairs, parts, product-mix changes and $20m public liability are all carried by us. Ask us to remove it and we do — no exit fee.

The exact machines we install

These are our three workhorse combination machines — photographed as they leave our workshop, stocked with the Australian brands your team actually buys. We recommend one based on your head count and floor space, never on what happens to be in the truck.

The Free Workplace Vending Guide (2026, Australia)

Free ATM placement in Australia: how venue cash access actually works

What a free ATM placement includes

A free ATM placement means the machine, the install, the cash, the maintenance and the compliance obligations all sit with the operator, not the venue. You provide a power point, a data path or mobile signal, and a wall or floor space. We supply the unit, mount it, commission it, load it, monitor it remotely and attend faults. There is no rental, no purchase, no bond and no service contract.

That is a fundamentally different arrangement to buying an ATM outright, where the venue takes on cash risk, insurance, jam attendance, network fees and eventual replacement of hardware that has a finite compliant life. Venues that have owned an ATM usually understand the difference immediately: the hard part of running an ATM is never the box on the wall, it is everything behind it.

Where an ATM earns its place

The strongest sites are venues where cash still does real work: pubs, clubs and hotels with gaming rooms, casinos, adult venues, caravan parks, markets, service stations, convenience retail and any site with poor mobile reception for card terminals. Foot traffic matters, but proximity to the moment of need matters more. An ATM in a foyer that patrons walk past on the way in performs very differently to the same machine positioned where patrons realise they need cash.

Australia-wide, cash usage has fallen but not disappeared, and the segments that still use it use it heavily. Losing a patron because there is no cash on site is a far larger cost to a venue than any ATM has ever been.

Install formats, security and compliance

We supply freestanding, through-wall and countertop formats. Freestanding is the fastest to deploy and the easiest to relocate. Through-wall suits venues that want the unit accessible from an external or 24-hour area without opening the venue itself, and requires a proper structural and security assessment before we quote it as an option. Countertop units suit smaller retail and hospitality counters where a full unit will not fit.

Every unit is installed to Australian standards, monitored remotely, and serviced by insured, background-checked crews. Cash replenishment schedules are set from actual withdrawal telemetry rather than a fixed calendar, so machines do not run dry on a long weekend. Signage and surcharge disclosure meet the applicable requirements as a matter of course, and we carry the liability cover for the equipment we place.

  • Freestanding, through-wall and countertop formats — all supplied and installed at $0
  • Cash loading, jam attendance, monitoring and compliance handled by the operator
  • Replenishment scheduled from real withdrawal telemetry, including long weekends
  • Available nationally alongside free combination vending in the same venue
