Privacy Policy.

How we handle your personal information under the Australian Privacy Principles (Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)).

Last updated: September 2026

1. Who we are

FreeVendingMachines.au ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Vending Machines Australia (the parent business). We provide free workplace vending machines and related services across Australia.

2. What we collect

We may collect:

  • Contact details — name, business name, email, phone number, site address.
  • Site information you provide — staff numbers, foot traffic, machine preferences.
  • Enquiry content — messages, quote requests, calculator inputs.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, pages visited (via standard web analytics).

3. How we use it

  • To respond to your enquiry and provide a quote.
  • To assess site suitability and coordinate installation with our vending operators.
  • To improve our website and services.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. Disclosure

We may share your details with third-party vending operators in your region so they can service your site. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information where required by law.

5. Storage & security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification, and disclosure. No online transmission is 100% secure — you provide information at your own risk.

6. Cookies & analytics

Our site uses cookies and standard web analytics to understand traffic and improve the experience. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.

7. Access, correction & complaints

You may request access to or correction of your personal information, or make a privacy complaint, by emailing quotes@freevendingmachines.au. If unresolved, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available at this URL.

How we handle your information in practice

Why we collect anything at all

Everything we collect exists to answer one question: can we place a free vending machine at your site, and if so, how. Your name and contact details let us call you back. Your workplace type and daily on-site numbers let us decide whether a placement is viable and what machine to specify. Your address and access notes let a crew plan the install. We do not build profiles beyond that, and we do not need to.

Where you have asked for a specific resource — a downloadable guide, a report, an emailed follow-up — we use your email address for that purpose and to reply to your enquiry.

Who your information reaches

Enquiry details are shared with the operating and install partners who need them to service your request, and with the technology providers who run our website, forms, database and email delivery on our behalf. Those providers are bound to use the information only to provide those services. We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to unrelated third parties for their own marketing.

Site-level operational data from an installed machine — sales by product, temperature, fault and stock levels — relates to the machine, not to individuals. It is not linked to the identity of the people buying from it.

Payments, cookies and marketing

Card payments at a machine are processed by the payment provider through their own terminal and merchant systems. We do not receive, store or have access to full card numbers at any point.

Our website uses cookies for basic functionality and, subject to your consent, for analytics that tell us which pages help people and which do not. You can decline non-essential cookies and the site will continue to work. If we email you about your enquiry or a resource you asked for, every message carries an unsubscribe link and we act on it immediately and permanently.

Access, correction and contact

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and requests are actioned within a reasonable period at no charge.

The fastest way to reach us about any of this is by phone on 0401 662 678 or through the contact form. If something has gone wrong, tell us — we would far rather fix a data handling problem directly than have you escalate it.
