FreeVendingMachines.au is run by operators who started in the field, not a boardroom. DavidB, our lead technician and program lead, has spent more than two decades installing, repairing, moving and monitoring vending machines across Australia — from office lobby drop-offs to remote mine-site rollouts.
That hands-on history is what makes the free-machine program work. He has configured and transported thousands of machines, handled lock changes, fridge decks, vend motors, control boards, coin mechs and note readers, and was among the earliest installers of Australia's first telemetry systems. He also helped shape the back-end systems operators rely on today: stock imaging, sales tracking, re-ordering, route planning and even catching thieving fillers who did not know the machine was monitored.
Later roles in vending supply — covering note readers, coin acceptors, credit card readers, QR-code and RFID cashless systems, including specialised PPE vending — mean the machines and payment options we recommend are the ones that actually survive real-world Australian workplaces.

DavidB has 20+ years of hands-on experience across the Australian vending industry. He has configured, installed, removed and transported thousands of machines — from full site rollouts to the quick "pick-up-and-move" jobs that keep a site happy. Starting in repairs, he learned from some of the industry's longest-serving technicians, covering everything from lock changes and fridge decks to vend motors, control boards, coin mechs and note readers. He was also among the earliest installers of Australia's first telemetry systems, helping shape what operators actually need in the back end: product imaging, stock sales, re-ordering, route planning and even catching thieving fillers who did not know the machine was monitored. Later, he moved into supplier roles across note readers, coin acceptors, credit card readers and other cashless acceptance methods including QR code and RFID systems for specialised vending such as PPE machines.

Is the vending machine really free for my business?+
Yes. There are no delivery fees, installation fees, ongoing service fees, or removal fees. The program is funded entirely by product sales through the machine. Your staff pay the same or less than they would at a convenience store, and we handle everything else.
Who is behind FreeVendingMachines.au?+
The program is run by DavidB, VMA — a vending industry technician with more than 20 years of hands-on experience. He has personally installed, repaired, transported and configured thousands of machines across Australia, and was among the earliest installers of Australian vending telemetry systems.
What sites do you install at across Australia?+
Offices, warehouses, factories, gyms, schools, healthcare and hospital sites, government and defence facilities, mining and FIFO camps, adult venues, and ATM-only locations. We service every state and territory — metro, regional and remote.
Do I have to sign a long contract?+
No. There is no lock-in contract. If the machine isn't working for your workplace we remove it free of charge, at any time. Most sites keep the machine because staff use it — but the exit is always free.
How quickly can you install a machine?+
Most metropolitan sites are installed within 5–10 business days of qualifying. Regional and remote sites depend on freight schedules but we service the entire country, including Pilbara mine camps and Northern Territory workplaces.
What products go in the machine?+
You choose the mix. Standard workplace machines carry drinks, snacks and healthier options. Gyms typically add protein products, hospitals add sugar-free lines, mine sites add high-calorie options, and PPE vending is available for industrial sites.
Are the machines cashless?+
Every machine we install accepts card, contactless and mobile payments (Apple Pay / Google Pay). Optional cash acceptance is available on request. All machines are telemetry-monitored so we can see stock and faults remotely.
