Northern Territory briefing
The Northern Territory is the hardest environment we install into and the one where machine specification matters most. Build-up humidity in Darwin will kill an unsealed card reader, and wet-season road closures can isolate a community site for weeks, so NT machines are specified with sealed electronics, uprated refrigeration and deliberately deeper stock holdings. Darwin and Palmerston carry defence, port, logistics and government sites; Katherine, Alice Springs, Tennant Creek and Nhulunbuy are serviced on planned runs built around the wet and dry seasons.
The Northern Territory administers its own Work Health and Safety (National Uniform Legislation) Act through NT WorkSafe, and site inductions here — particularly on defence support, port and resources work — are stricter than the equivalent southern sites, not looser.
