FIFO changeover freight

Machines and restocks freighted with your existing crew changeover cycles — no extra logistics runs, no camp disruption, no reliance on the local roadhouse.

Full site inductions & PPE

Our crews carry standard mining site inductions, MSIC where required, and full PPE (steel-cap boots, hi-vis, hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection) as a baseline.

Why Northern Territory mining and resources operators put a free vending machine on every crib room, camp and gate house

Remote work runs on hydration, calories and caffeine. In Northern Territory, when the nearest servo is a 40-minute drive and the camp mess only opens for scheduled meal breaks, a shift crew running dry is a safety issue — not just a comfort one. Our free 24/7 vending program closes that gap on the crib-room wall.

We specify high-capacity, industrial-grade machines with reinforced panels, filtered airflow, dust seals and heat-tolerant compressors — built for the reality of Northern Territory mining conditions. Cashless-only tap-to-pay works via dual-SIM 4G telemetry, with satellite-backed transaction modules available where mobile reception is unreliable. There is no cash box, no on-site float and no exposure for your team leaders.

Our install and restock crews are already active across Northern Territory. We freight new machines and restock cycles on your existing changeover logistics — no extra flights, no extra road trains, no camp disruption. Coverage spans Darwin CBD, Berrimah, East Arm corridors out to Arnhem Land, Groote Eylandt, Tennant Creek, Nhulunbuy, with MSIC and site-specific inductions completed by our regular crews on those routes. Mining-services operators with people across multiple NT projects get a single account manager and consolidated reporting.

  • Heat-tolerant machines rated for Northern Territory 40°C+ conditions
  • Freighted with your existing FIFO / crew changeover cycles
  • MSIC-carrying crews on NT routes where required
  • Dual-SIM 4G telemetry with satellite-backed fallback for remote reception
  • EBA-friendly product lists — high-caffeine exclusions honoured
  • Workshops, wash-bays, marshalling yards, camp messes and gate houses all covered
  • Single account manager and consolidated reporting across every NT project

FAQ

Common questions

Do you install at mine sites and FIFO camps across NT?+

Yes — we service operating mines, exploration camps and FIFO villages throughout Northern Territory, from Darwin CBD and Berrimah out to Arnhem Land, Groote Eylandt, Tennant Creek. Machines are freighted on your changeover cycles and serviced on a scheduled cadence.

Will the machine handle NT heat and dust?+

Standard machines operate 0–35°C. For Northern Territory sites hitting 40–48°C in the wet or shoulder season we install heat-tolerant units with reinforced compressors, dust filters and hardened electronics — at the same zero cost.

How is restocking handled for remote NT sites?+

Telemetry-driven. Our operations centre sees stock levels live and dispatches restock on your changeover freight cycle. For very remote sites we install higher-capacity machines and increase par levels so restock frequency matches your rotation.

Do you carry MSIC / MARSEC-relevant clearances?+

Where a site or port requires MSIC, our regular crews on that route hold current cards. For dedicated port terminals in Northern Territory we can also arrange escorted access with your security officer.

Can we exclude high-caffeine energy drinks for safety-critical operations?+

Yes — many EBA and safety-critical sites exclude high-caffeine energy drinks entirely. You set the exclusion list before install and we honour it, including regular re-audit.

How does cashless payment work when there's no reception?+

Machines use dual-SIM 4G telemetry. Where mobile reception is unreliable, we install a satellite-backed or store-and-forward transaction module so tap-to-pay keeps working and reconciles when the link returns.

What about workshop, wash-bay and truck-marshalling yards?+

Absolutely — we install in workshops, tyre bays, marshalling yards, plant crib rooms and lunch huts. Reinforced units are the default in these environments.

Do you handle mining services companies across multiple NT projects?+

Yes — drill and blast, earth-movers, MEM, HSE and camp-services companies with people across multiple Northern Territory projects get a single account manager and one consolidated report across every site.

Who installs your machine in Australia, and exactly how it runs

Written and maintained by Dan Barnes — owner-operator, Free Vending Machines Australia

I have been placing and servicing vending equipment in Australian workplaces for over two decades — offices, warehouses, gyms, hospitals, schools, remote camps and government sites. Everything on this page reflects how we actually run installs across every state and territory: the machines we physically stock, the lead times our crews hold to, and the service standard we carry at our own cost. Nothing here is licensed boilerplate.

  • Typical Australian lead time: 7–14 days from a qualified request to a working machine.
  • $20 million public liability plus product liability — certificate of currency supplied to your facilities or WHS team on request.
  • Australian-owned, Australian-serviced. Same operator answers the phone on0401 NO COST.
  • Nayax cashless readers and live telemetry on every machine — not a retro-fitted coin mech.

What to expect, step by step

  1. 1. Two-question request

You tell us the workplace type and rough head count. No paperwork, no credit check, no sales visit required to get an answer.

  2. 2. Site check within 24 hours

We confirm head count, foot traffic, power location and access (lifts, stairs, loading dock, after-hours security) and pick the right machine.

  3. 3. Delivery and install

Our crew delivers, levels and commissions the machine, tests the cashless reader end-to-end and takes the packaging away. Nothing is invoiced.

  4. 4. Telemetry goes live

Every vend, temperature reading and fault code streams back to us. Low stock is flagged 2–3 days before a row empties.

  5. 5. Ongoing service, still $0

Restocks, cleaning, repairs, parts, product-mix changes and $20m public liability are all carried by us. Ask us to remove it and we do — no exit fee.

The exact machines we install

These are our three workhorse combination machines — photographed as they leave our workshop, stocked with the Australian brands your team actually buys. We recommend one based on your head count and floor space, never on what happens to be in the truck.
